Meet Our Founder: Phillip Markham

Phillip Markham is a seasoned commercial and finance leader with over 30 years of experience delivering measurable cost savings and strategic value across multiple industries. As the founder of Make It Count Consultancy Services Limited, Phillip brings deep commercial acumen, sharp negotiation skills, and a relentless focus on driving profitability for UK businesses.

Before launching Make It Count in 2024, Phillip spent nearly three decades at TLC Marketing Group (a leading Global Marketing Agency), where he rose through the ranks to become Group Procurement Director.

In that role, he specialised in cost control, contract negotiation, and payment term optimisation - delivering over £250,000 in annual savings for the group. Prior to that, as Group Commercial Director, he oversaw cash flow, supplier relationships, tax compliance, and internal financial operations.

Earlier in his career, Phillip held senior finance positions at organisations including Savills, Burford Group, and Englander Group, and began his professional journey as a Junior Accountant at Cohen Arnold Chartered Accountants.

Phillip’s hands-on experience with accounting platforms like Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks, combined with his strategic approach to negotiation and investment analysis, makes him uniquely equipped to uncover hidden value for clients.

Whether it's streamlining supplier contracts or identifying overlooked inefficiencies, he’s committed to ensuring every client engagement delivers tangible, bottom-line results.
